Almond Village Board Regular Meeting
October 14, 2021
Present: R. Burns, D. Johnson, Greg Otto, B. Roehrborn, H. Burns, C. Smith,
Visitors: David Schauer
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
R. Burns made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to approve the September minutes. Motion approved 3-0.
Treasurer’s Report: H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion approved 3-0.
Public Input – None
Finance – D. Johnson gave the finance report. G. Otto made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to pay the bills. Motion approved 3-0.
D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to approve increasing the Tax levy by $402.00. Motion approved 3-0.
Fire/EMS –R. Burns made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to approve the cadet program. Motion approved 3-0.
Public Works – G. Otto made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to purchase 10 padlocks, all keyed alike to replace all of them in the Village. Motion approved 3-0. The clerk will keep a list of who have the keys for these and they must be requested from the clerk.
Properties – Painting of properties is done for this year.
Ordinance/Personnel -R. Burns made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to approve the Dwelling Code -Update to State regulations. Motion approved 3-0.
Dave requested permission to attend a class for “Confined Spaces Entry” at a cost of $100.00. This will be held in Plover. G. Otto made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to approved him going to this class. Motion approved 3-0.
Equipment –Dave gave some quotes for purchases some brushes for our sweeper. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to approve Dave purchasing the brushes for the best deal he can find. Motion approved 3-0.
The Sewer Jeter has Pump Pressure problems. G. Otto made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to have Dave take it to Illinois, where it was built and have them look at it. Motion approved 3-0
Zoning –1 shed being built
Cemetery – None
Beautification – None
Media/Sewer Clerk –Heather will be posting on the web page and face book information at the dump, and other happenings in the village. She will post the following for the dump “Proof of residency may be required to use this facility”. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to replace all the existing signs, plus add the new verbiage as required at the dump for $750.00. Motion passed 3-0.
R. Burns made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to approve the resolution 10-14-21 RE: Resolution for-ward Division and designation of polling place. Motion passed 3-0.
Next Board will be October 14, 2021 at 7:00 pm.
G. Otto made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to adjourn. Motion passed 3-0
