Richard Novotny: Inquiring on ROW located to west of his property on County Road D. He would like to use some for gardening. This area is a plotted, unimproved Village street and the Village will not sell. Danny needs access to maintain the sewer lines through there also.

K. Olson made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to let R. Novotny plant a garden no more than 20 feet onto undeveloped High School Street for the 2018 growing season. No structures may be built and the Village would not be liable for any injury or damage occurred. Motion carried 5-0.

B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to approve the recommended Emergency Service Number (ESN) changes for our municipality. Motion carried 5-0.

Properties: We did not pass our Fuel Tank Inspection, twice. The problem is a lack of a grounding rod but due to the ground being frozen, it cannot be installed at this time. We have been given a compliance date of April 1, 2018 to get up to code.

More shelving is needed in the vault, however, there is a lot of old paperwork that does not need to be retained. Cleaning out the old papers will be the first step taken to get the vault organized.

S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by K. Olson to allow Danny to permanently install the bulletin board in the Village Hall. Motion carried 5-0.

The Village is looking into a renting a new lawn mower as opposed to purchasing a new one. Our old one has over 2000 hours on it.
