Village Board Meeting
May 8, 2017

Board Members Present-B. Roehrborn, R. Burns, J. Riggenbach, K. Olson, S. Bunders.
Visitors-Ed Schultz, Dan Folan.

President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 7pm.

K. Olson made a motion and seconded by R. Burns to approve the minutes of the April meeting. Motion carried 4-0.
J. Riggenbach made a motion and seconded by B. Roehrborn to approve the Treasurers report. Motion carried 5-0.
K. Olson made a motion and seconded by J. Riggenbach to approve the May disbursements. Motion carried 5-0.
A Quit Claim Deeds were signed by the Village of Almond and Jon Pagel for land swapped at the Lagoon.
Jon Pagel signed a new lease agreement between himself and the Village of Almond for land irrigated from the Lagoon.
The Village of Almond was presented a plaque by the Portage County Fire Chiefs Association for Platinum Level Support of employees who are allowed to respond to fire and/or EMS calls without having to ask for permission to go, for 2017.
The Portage County Waste Dept. will be contacted to see about withdrawing from the Contract with them.
Two building and two remodeling permits have been issued.
R. Burns made a motion and seconded by S. Bunders to send Ordinance Violation letters to Chris Methfessel, Ron Disher, Edith Ann Zdroik and Melinda Lee Miller (Kenny James house). Motion carried 5-0.
Estimates will be gotten for the removal, hauling away and filling in and seeding the Jerry Faye property on Blaine St.
The Ordinance Committee will be looking into Building and Remodeling permits.
The Village will be looking into fence for the Lagoon.
R. Burns made a motion and seconded by B. Roehrborn to accept the new Committees for 2017 to 2019. Motion carried 5-0.
The Planning Committee recommends rezoning the Rosenthal property on Main St. from Commercial to Residential.

K. Olson made a motion and seconded by R. Burns to adjourn. Motion carried 5-0.
